Prezlock Smart Fingerprint Padlock

3.9/5

See Amazon listing

A heavy-duty padlock that swaps combinations for a fast biometric fingerprint module, with IP65 waterproofing for outdoor use on gates, sheds, storage units, and gym lockers. The Prezlock app manages users and fingerprints, shares access by duration or number of uses, and keeps a locking history with location, so you can hand a neighbor or contractor temporary access without lending a key. A key backup covers the day your finger or the battery fails you. At roughly CA$100 list it costs more than any reasonable padlock, and the app-account side deserves scrutiny before you trust it with anything valuable.

Prezlock Smart Fingerprint Padlock Pros

+Fingerprint unlock is fast, and the app shares access by time or number of uses
+Locking history with location shows who opened it and when
+IP65 rating holds up outdoors on gates, sheds, and storage units
+Physical key backup when the biometric side fails

Prezlock Smart Fingerprint Padlock Cons

−Far more expensive than a quality keyed or combination padlock
−Needs charging, and app-based access ties your lock to an account
−Biometric padlocks are a niche, so long-term reliability data is thin
